A recent study of simulation procurement practices, reported that training organisations have paid multiple times for the same content. Different factors have led to this: from incompatibility between the multiple platforms being deployed, to a lack of flexibility of the 3D visual content itself.

The US Army Game Studio recently signed a contract for “next-generation” content that is independent of any IG or engine; high value content that is designed to operate with all leading serious games engines and IGs. Instead of developing content for a specific purpose each time, you can hit more targets with a single, highly accurate model that is designed to be flexible and adaptable. What is more, this level of accuracy doesn’t actually require a massive budget.
You can control the costs of modeling by taking simple steps, such as defining a list of re-usable 3D content, like externally referenced weapons or other key sub-components.
