Simthetiq’s aXion Image Generator Selected for Visual Upgrade of Boeing 737 Flight Training Device

Simthetiq is proud to announce that they have been selected by SIMOPS and Flight Training Europe (FTEJerez) to undertake a significant visual system upgrade on their Boeing 737-800 Flight Training Device (FTD).

To ensure the client’s EASA Level 2 FTD device remains at the cutting edge of aviation technology, the existing visual system will be replaced with the advanced Simthetiq X2 Image Generator (aXion IG), paired with brand-new, high-specification replacement projectors.

While qualified as an EASA Level 2 FTD, the device boasts a premium visual setup rarely seen outside of Full Flight Simulators (FFS), including a full front projection collimated display and Mylar mirror.

This high-end combination, paired with the Level-D certified aXion IG, delivers an incredibly realistic training environment that drastically improves spatial awareness and immersion for trainees.
