Simthetiq Develops Virtual Terrain Databases of Indian Airports to Train Emergency Response
Simthetiq is pleased to announce it has been tasked with the development of high-fidelity virtual terrain databases (VTDBs) of Indian airports for ETC Simulation. These digital terrains will be used to train fire and emergency response crews, enhancing preparedness for critical airport operations.
Using its proprietary 3D tools and expertise in simulation content creation, Simthetiq will transform real-world airport layouts into accurate, interactive virtual environments. The VTDBs will allow emergency response teams to practice realistic scenarios, improving situational awareness, decision-making, and operational efficiency in high-pressure situations.
“Our collaboration with ETC Simulation demonstrates our commitment to realistic and effective training solutions for emergency responders,” said Gareth Jones, Director of Sales & Marketing of Simthetiq. “By creating precise virtual representations of key airport environments, we are helping crews train safely and efficiently, ensuring readiness for any incident.”
The project covers several major Indian airports, with each VTDB carefully modeled to reflect real-world operational and geographic conditions. This initiative builds on Simthetiq’s longstanding dedication to providing immersive simulation solutions for defense, civil aviation, and emergency response sectors worldwide.
